Salam 'Alaikum,

I have been pondering very strongly the last week or two about Aqimussallat (establish the Divine System) and how we can accomplish that under our present circumstances and conditions.

Keep in mind that it is my humble understanding that there are verses in The Quran where it only makes sense to understand Salat as Prayer such as 4:101-103 and yet there are places where one will have to really force the understanding of prayer such as Allah talking about the mushrikeen in 9:11. [As a side note, this verse of the Quran also makes interesting discussion of the understanding/interpretation of the word DEEN].

In this post, I will like to focus on establishing salat with the understanding of other than prayer. I will like to use the original QXP (and its understanding of aqimusalat) as my point of reference.

When we are commanded to establish the salat, we are actually being commanded to establish the divine system which, in turn, means to establish The Deen. We begin, of course, by establishing the Deen, IN TOTAL, in our own lives according to my present understanding of Quran, 2:3...

QXP, 2:3Those who (wish to journey through life in honor and security), believe in the Unseen. (They recognize the Law of Cause and Effect although the stages may not always be obvious to them) and establish the Divinely Prescribed System of Life, and set up the Economic Order of Zakaat keeping open for others the resources that We have granted them.

[Aqimussallat = Establish the System that facilitates the following of Divine Commands.]

If I were to enter into a condition of Islam TOTALLY/WHOLE HEARTEDLY as Quran 2:208 instructs us to do, then that means that I am to establish the Divine System in my own life, in total. By default, I believe this requires me to totally boycott the system/order that is presently in place in the land. I absolutely refuse to be an active or passive participant/contributor to the DEEN that is in place now. The Deen of Taghoot.

When we have enough believers taking this stance and remaining staunchly committed to it, that takes away the needed PEOPLE to maintain the present system and shifts them to the upholding of Deenillah. Over course of time and with more and more people coming to The Quran and its message, the elites would be forced to abdicate their power.

We have to keep in mind that NO SYSTEM in the human domain comes into play without the active participation of people. As was said by one person at another forum that I frequent...

Quote:
We the people are the Government. We foolishly fight and die for these Rich Elites in Power. Right NOW they are murdering innocent men women and children, based on a Damn Lie! These devils in the Bush Adminstration will suffer the consequences of their treacherous deeds. Most likely NOT by a weak spineless Democratic Senate but in The HereAfter by Almighty Allah!

We the people make up their Police Forces, Armed Forces, and Security Details. If we the People Stood UP! And we teach the People the truth of Quran and we take a stand on Quranic Laws! And Refused to fight and put down our Police Badges, and put down the AK-47's; those cowardly Rich Elites would be forced to abdicate their Power.

So we begin by truly living according to Quran and only Quran. To quote from the homepage of the Quranic Teachings site:

Quote:
The Qur'an is a unique book for all times and at all levels. The objective of the Qur'an and its method of explanation is that of educating the minds and changing human attitude towards life. Its aim is to bring about a revolution inside the man himself, for after all, the external material civilization is the expression of the internal spiritual condition of man himself.

So we should immediately and effectively STOP contributing to and/or participating in this present system of Taghoot and instead Live, I mean LIVE WHOLE HEARTEDLY strictly by what we understand so far of The Holy Quran.

An example in recent history of people (here in the United States) who have chosen to live by their own Deen (system) and absolutely refused to live according to the Deen of the United States was the Move Organization out of Philadelphia, Pa. I'm not saying that I agree with all of their views, I am merely pointing out that they had the moral courage to break away from this system and chose to live according their own system, which they deemed to be morally correct.

This is exactly what WE as believers in The Quran are supposed to be doing. A strategic program of NON-PARTICIPATION in the present system.

Salaam 'Alaikum,
Damon.

On that same topic, and after watching that MOVE video here are some other videos which show why moving away from the system (smartly) is not such a bad idea.
